Why You Should Include Prompts in Your Style Guide

As brands, agencies and businesses continue to experiment with prompts, the volatility of these tools in general and their knack for creating both the weird and the wonderful has become clear for all to see.

In this environment, it makes sense to have a record of the prompts used to craft the work that emulates your brand best.

Now of course, you can always recreate a prompt by recreating its seed number (and if you don’t know about that then get on the phone with us now), but that is almost a bar-code of a finished product, and if you ever wish to experiment or innovate on your designs then you might find yourself in a bit of a black-box scenario.

You may have noticed that our content has very similar images, and this is no accident. These prompts were crafted and experimented with over time until we found one that was both replicable and adaptable to our needs (we’ve even included it as a free mini-library for you to download to see what we mean).

In doing do, it has become quite apparent that, just as brands use and avoid certain words and colours it makes sense to incorporate prompts it into your brand and style guides also.
